She credits her success to her ability to identify gaps in the market and deliver exactly what is missing. Drawing from her experiences working for major film and TV productions in the Indian Film Industry, she now trains performers and creates artistic performances in the USA, spreading awareness of the true emotions of Indian performing arts.
Starting a business presents its own set of challenges, and Erem understands this all too well.
“I believe challenges arise from a lack of knowledge,” she states.
Erem’s entrepreneurial journey is driven by her passion for Indian culture and performing arts. Combining luck and hard work, she fearlessly pursued her dreams, even as a high school dropout from India with limited knowledge of business, accounts, or law. The opportunity to establish her entertainment company marked a turning point, and she sprinted with remarkable speed to make it a success. Despite encountering numerous hurdles along the way, her growth rate soared from 0 to 200% by the end of the first year.
Recognizing the importance of continuous learning and acquiring knowledge, she emphasizes that the lack of understanding can hinder decision-making and prolong the journey to reaching one’s goals. Her own experiences, grappling with unfamiliar territories such as legal systems and accounting, taught her the value of perseverance and learning the hard way.
From a young age, Erem drew inspiration from her parents, deeply immersed in the world of film and dance.
“Film and dance were home, and there was no plan B,” she fondly recalls.
Accompanying her mother, a background dancer, and her father, an assistant choreographer for a legendary figure in the industry, she witnessed the magic of film sets and the power of dance firsthand. These formative experiences instilled in her an unwavering desire to make her mark in the industry.
While the right mindset plays a crucial role in starting and sustaining a business, Erem believes that fiery passion is even more important.
“Being an artist, you think from both your right and left brain. Thus, being emotionally strong, having an unwavering passion to hold onto your dreams, and maintaining a rational mindset can work wonders,” she explains.
For her, entrepreneurship is an ongoing process of learning, refining one’s mindset, and adapting to new knowledge from the brightest minds in the world.
Offering valuable advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, Erem says:“Find your blend of certainty and risk. Perseverance is progress!”
By striking a balance between calculated risks and an unwavering commitment to their dreams, entrepreneurs can weather any storm that comes their way.
“Your business is like a relationship, if you love it enough you will get through anything that comes your way. If it doesn’t feel like true love then move on to the next business and try that relationship,” she adds.

She acknowledges that the definition of success may evolve, but at its core, it is about finding fulfillment in personal growth and earning the admiration of others. Financial freedom is another facet of success that allows her to chase her dreams without limitations, empowering her to undertake projects and fulfill her aspirations.
Looking ahead, Erem’s artistic journey continues to soar to new heights. Her team, Ethnique, is set to perform and compete at the World of Dance World Finals 2023 in California, representing the cultural diversity of the USA on a global stage.
