From Chef to Credit Repair Educator, Charles Truvillion Never Thought This Would Be His Journey to Success. Find Out His Story Below.

From a young age, Charles Truvillion knew more about credit than the average person. He distinctly remembers learning everything from a friend’s dad and then honing this expertise when he met a mentor later on in life. However, after becoming a professional chef, he didn’t think he would ever use this skill for anyone other than himself. However, that was not what life had in store for him!

“I was a self taught chef who learned from watching Food Network many hours per day. Everyone loved my food and my mixture of different flavors from across the world. However, this was not the life that I wanted to live. I stumbled upon an opportunity to help repair people’s credit and the rest is history. To date, we have helped over 5000 consumers repair their credit, buy a new home, or save money on their interest payments. This by far outweighs the feeling I would get when a new client tasted my dish because that is just a moment good credit is for a lifetime,” Charles recounts.

Though his journey was not at all linear, in fact at one point he followed bad advice from his then mentor and got sent to jail, Charles has been able to have a profound impact on the lives of many people. Instead of focusing on individuals and the numbers that follow them, he focuses on how he can change their mindset.

“I started my own credit repair company after working for a credit repair expert. His tactics landed my client and myself in jail. After getting out of jail on 11/12/13 I vowed to spend the rest of my life learning about credit and training others to help educate more consumers on the mechanics of credit so we can change the way we view credit. It’s all in their mind if we change our mind we change our credit score,” Charles remarks.

Despite the pandemic and many businesses experiencing a downturn, Charles took this obstacle in stride and was able to keep, maintain and even grow his business! Now the so called Credit Chef is moving to a new location to allow his company to grow even further than ever imagined.

“We are moving into a new location! We will be able to offer credit education classes. Business Funding Seminars, First time home buyer Meetings and a lot more. We are actually starting business training and credit education training here now. We can host our own events for up to about 60 people for home buying tricks, car buying tips and credit education,” Charles exclaims.

Charles never gave up on his dream to continue to help people with their credit and fix their finances. What has helped him succeed, despite all of the ups and downs, was his incredible mindset. Even when times were tough, Charles jumped in with both feets, as demonstrated by the event, and was willing to put himself on the line to make a difference in a company and do something that he loved.

“The most important part of being a business owner is your mindset. You have to build an impenetrable mind to not accept any negativity because it will stop your success,” Charles states.
