“My 24 spinal screws and prominent scar are my badges of courage, proof that we can rise above physical and emotional hurdles.” Anouk shares.
Anouk’s remarkable journey took her to unprecedented heights. She not only represented Aruba as Miss Aruba in 2017 and 2018 but also became the US National Synchronized Swimming Champion in 2014. Her journey was far from over as she secured a coveted spot in Milan’s Major Models Milano agency. This historic milestone not only marked a personal achievement but also a pivotal moment for Aruba, demonstrating that dreams know no bounds.
“My story is a testament to the idea that no dream is too big, and with unwavering determination, anything is possible.” she explains.
Starting a modeling career in Aruba comes with its fair share of challenges. The local fashion scene is relatively limited, which presents a significant obstacle to Anouk’s modeling aspirations. Despite this, her accomplishments are a testament to the idea that talent and determination can overcome geographical limitations.
For Anouk, mindset has been a key factor in her experience in the modeling industry. Confidence, clarity of aspirations, and an unwavering belief in oneself lay the foundation for success.
“Maintain unwavering self-belief, no matter the scale of your ambitions, and deliberately surround yourself with individuals who inspire and support you.” Anouk advises.

Additionally, she plans to collaborate with fellow models, designers, and companies, working towards her ultimate goal of walking the runways for renowned high-end designers.
