The Inspiring Story of Sophia Felix, the CEO of HBM Talent & Management

Sophia Felix is a highly accomplished professional in talent management and brand representation. As the CEO of HBM Talent & Management, she brings a wealth of experience and a unique approach to her role. Sophia represents clients from diverse fields and is a strong advocate for health and women in the medical cannabis industry.

Drawing from her modeling experience, Sophia recognized the problem of women being taken advantage of in the industry regarding contracts and compensation. This realization motivated her to create a safe space for new talents in the field.

With a strong belief in the value of her advice, Sophia founded HBM Talent & Management to boost model careers, introduce new growth opportunities, and help brands discover the right talent to work with.

“I have had the pleasure of elevating many individuals into a brand and success because I mentor them personally,” Sophia mentions.

At the beginning of her career, Sophia faced several obstacles as an entrepreneur due to a lack of initial funding and the absence of a business attorney. However, her determination, network, negotiation skills, and ability to build a strong team helped her overcome these challenges despite the difficulties in her industry. Currently, Kelly Bagla, Esq., the CEO of Bagla Law Firm and winner of California’s Attorney of The Year, serves as Sophia’s business attorney. According to Sophia, having Kelly on her team, especially when representing her clients, has proven to be a game-changer.

“Being a great leader who breaks barriers is what I strive for,” Sophia shares.

Her commitment to personally mentoring individuals sets HBM Talent & Management apart. Unlike traditional agencies, clients have direct access to her 24/7, ensuring personal dedication beyond the norm, emphasizing the importance of building genuine relationships in an industry criticized for lacking personal connections.

In addition to her responsibilities at HBM Talent, Sophia serves as the Co-Founder and President of the International Cannabis Consulting Business Women’s Association (ICBWA), a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles. The organization is committed to empowering female entrepreneurs in the health-focused cannabis sector and ensuring they attain valuable, equitable, and influential positions in the industry.

For her upcoming projects, Sophia includes expanding opportunities for consulting at HBM Talent & Management and organizing more events for the International Cannabis Consulting Business Women’s Association (ICBWA). She plans to meet with public officials in Los Angeles to unite the community and raise awareness about the benefits of medical cannabis.

Sophia is also embarking on a culinary adventure in collaboration with her partner Shawna B, with the introduction of “Peace, Love, and Protein,” a cookbook set to release in 2024. Simultaneously, focusing on the constantly evolving digital media landscape, she desires to venture into podcasting, envisioning a future where creativity knows no bounds.
