Natalia Denegri Celebrates 9 Years of ‘Corazones Guerreros’ with Heartfelt Tribute to Alan Hassenfeld

As Corazones Guerreros marks its ninth anniversary, MegaTV unveils a series of touching specials that celebrate not only its unwavering mission but also the profound bond between Alan Hassenfeld’s generous vision and the passionate leadership of Natalia Denegri.

Since its debut in 2013, Corazones Guerreros has become much more than a television program—it has flourished into a living testament of hope and resilience. With well over 450 episodes aired, it has offered concrete help, heartfelt stories, and a glimpse of light in moments of darkness for Latino families across the United States.

At the center of this journey stands Natalia Denegri, whose voice and presence have become synonymous with compassion in the media world. Recognized by People en Español among the “25 Most Powerful Hispanic Women,” and by Hola! USA as a standout “Latina Changemaker,” she embodies leadership grounded in empathy and courageous action.

As the official spokesperson for the Hassenfeld Family Foundation in Latin America, Natalia’s humanitarian reach is deeply rooted in uplifting communities across the region. Her journeys have taken her to Colombia, where she filmed the Emmy-winning Innocents in La Guajira and helped build schools for the Wayuú community; to Argentina, where her storytelling shines a light on social struggles; and to Venezuela, where, despite threats and denied entry, she documented the reality of families in crisis.

Perhaps one of the most unforgettable chapters of her work took place in Puerto Rico after Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Alongside three generations of the Hassenfeld family, Natalia coordinated life-saving humanitarian flights to and from Puerto Rico to aid those in need. These missions delivered essential supplies and safely transported more than 300 American-Puerto Rican citizens in need of urgent medical attention back to the mainland. For this extraordinary effort, she was recognized by the City of Miami, the United States Congress, and by the Hassenfeld Family Foundation, which described her role as spokesperson as “critical” and “leading.”

Her work has earned widespread recognition across the industry. Natalia has won 28 Suncoast Emmy Awards personally, and more than 50 in total, including those with her production company, Trinitus Productions—many of which were earned through Corazones Guerreros and its documentaries. She was also recognized by the United States Congress, received the Key to the City of Miami, and earned diplomas and awards at international film festivals.

Beyond media and philanthropy, Natalia is also a journalist, producer, and a restaurant entrepreneur, serving as one of the partners in the Argentine-inspired restaurant chain Baires Grill, with locations in Florida and New York—a commitment that beautifully bridges her Hispanic roots with her adopted home.

Crowning both her philanthropic mission and her entrepreneurial work, Natalia was recently honored by the White House with the Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award—a national recognition for her exceptional, long-standing humanitarian efforts, service to vulnerable communities through social work and volunteering, and her leadership in media. This award was also presented to Alan Hassenfeld just days before his passing, in recognition of hishumanitarian and entrepreneurial trajectory and his commitment to inclusion, mental health, and children’s rights.

Alan Hassenfeld passed away on July 8, 2025, in London, at the age of 76. His departure left a profound void in the hearts of Natalia, producer Nelson Bustamante, former Hasbro Philanthropy and Social Impact lead Estefania Mönch, and the entire Corazones Guerreros family. Natalia described him as “a mentor who shaped not just our work, but our spirit” and said that his sudden absence was “an irreparable loss.” Yet she insists that his lessons —especially his boundless love for the Latino community and his unwavering devotion to service—will continue to guide her path as she continues her work as Spokesperson of the Hassenfeld Family Foundation and renews her commitment to the Latino community with this new season of the show. “I will carry his legacy forward,” she says, “bringing sunshine where there’s darkness and a smile where there are tears, until every child in need finds a little light, just as he wished and worked so hard to do.”

The passing of Alan Hassenfeld deeply affected Natalia and the entire Corazones Guerreros team. Yet his spirit endures in every mission, every act of care, and each narrative that turns pain into purpose. His belief in Natalia’s potential has become both her compass and her gift to the world.

As Corazones Guerreros celebrates its ninth year, these episodes stand as both homage and promise—to a mentor’s vision, to a host’s unwavering call to serve, and to the enduring light that blooms when people come together in kindness. The program invites us all: carry that light forward. And as she reflects, Natalia adds, “Every mission with Alan and the Corazones Guerreros and Hasbro teams became a testament of unity, courage, and heartfelt service. Alan’s memory will be our guiding star in every mission we embark upon, reminding us that his spirit lives on in every act of kindness.”
